    Danny Robins

    Danny Robins is an award-winning British writer, broadcaster and journalist. Last year, he created The Battersea Poltergeist, a podcast series for the BBC that combined drama and documentary to tell a real-life ghost story, starring Toby Jones and Dafne Keen. It became a global phenomenon – the #1 Drama Podcast across the whole world, with more than 3.5 million downloads and counting – sparking a bidding war for the TV rights. Danny is now adapting it with Hollywood producers Blumhouse. The series recently won the Gold Award for Best Serialised Podcast at the 2021 New York Festivals Radio Awards.

    Hannah Price

    Hannah is Creative Director at Layered Reality, Co-Artistic Director of The Kings Head with Mark Ravenhill, a theatre director and Founder and previous Co-Artistic Director of Theatre Uncut. She also works across immersive events, VR and video games. Her work on video game CONTROL helped earn a record breaking 11 BAFTA nominations. She was Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse in 2012-2013.

    Robbie Butler

    Originally from Ireland and based in the UK, Robbie is one of only a handful honorary life members of the Association for Lighting and Production Design. Having trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he has won an Off West End award for Best Lighting Design and was also the winner of the 2015 ETC Award.

    Adrienne Quartly

    Over the last two decades, Adrienne has been working as a sound designer/composer, both nationally and internationally for live performance. She was part of the team behind the Olivier Nominated Production of Cuttin’ It (Young Vic Theatre), best new play nomination at the UK theatre awards for Black Men Walking (Eclipse Theatre), and a nomination for best production at the Manchester Theatre Awards for Rose, starring Dame Janet Suzman (Home, Manchester).

    Tahra Zafar

    Tahra studied Theatre Design at Central St Martins. With over 25 years of experience, she runs a Creature and Costume Effects business, Tahra Zafar LTD, bringing together teams of freelancers and businesses for project specific collaboration. Working across the creative genres of theatre, live events, film and television, Tahra creates creatures, characters, space costumes, aliens, giants, animals, puppets and costumes for worldwide productions and clients. For the London Olympic and Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies 2012, Tahra Headed up the Costume, Hair and Make-up department, overseeing the manufacturing of 23,000 costumes for the four events.

    Simon Reveley

    After graduating from Bournemouth Film School, Simon began his career creating media for live events before co-founding his first interactive design agency which, among other achievements, won the British Interactive Media Association award for innovation and in 2008 delivered a major, touring immersive experience featuring Virtual Reality for the British Army.

    Rosie Jones

    Rosie works internationally as a creative director, producer and artist, across video games, VR, theatre and screen, most recently as Voiceover Director on Nintendo's latest game, releasing September 2022. As a Performance Director for Remedy Games, credits include Crossfire and CONTROL: The Foundation. Rosie regularly produces drama for Audible Theatre, including a collaboration with the National Theatre. She has developed productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company, RHS Wisley, the NHS and the V&A museum, and frequently directs at the Rose, Kingston.

    Kevin McCurdy

    Kev is an Equity registered Fight Director / choreographer, Director, Actor and an Action performer. Kev is also co-founder and Chairman of The Academy of Performance Combat. Recent theatre includes: The Wife of Willesden, Macbeth, Mary’s Seacole, The Burnt City, Indecent, Days of Significance, Red Velvet, Les Misérables, Rigoletto, Bajazet, Don Giovanni, Jenufa, Red Pitch, Moreno, The Wicker Musical, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, Traplord, Gunpowder, Guardians of The Galaxy.

    Ash Rizi

    Ash is an actor and voiceover artist. He trained with the National Youth Theatre and credits for TV include Luther, The Duchess, Drifters and Unforgotten. Theatre credits include East is East (Trafalgar Studios / Jamie Lloyd Productions) and A Song at Twilight (Theatre Royal Bath). His voiceover credits include Dungeons and Dragons, Hitman 2 and 3 and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.

    Michelle Asante

    Michelle Asante is an award-nominated actress who has received critical praise for her wide-ranging performances across film, television and theatre. Michelle can currently be seen in her regular role on the acclaimed fourth season of TOP BOY (Netflix) and also has upcoming recurring roles in two new major series – THE ESSEX SERPENT for Apple and THIS SCEPTRED ISLE for Sky Atlantic. On Film, Michelle can be seen in: BONE, HELLFIGHTERS, BRAND NEW-U, VERBO and SOME DOGS BITE. Recent TV credits include: THE SUSPECT, NOUGHTS & CROSSES, MOVING ON, OUR GIRL, FATHER BROWN and LUCKY MAN. On stage, Michelle has performed in leading roles at The Young Vic, Almeida, Royal Court, RSC and Donmar Warehouse, amongst others.

    Pieter Lawman

    Pieter Lawman trained at RADA. Alongside television and radio work he has performed extensively in the theatre for companies such as The National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Kneehigh, Bristol Old Vic, Manchester Royal Exchange and the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Most recently he has been recording audiobooks and providing voices for various videogames.

    Ruth Gibson

    Sam Stafford

    Sam graduated from LAMDA in 2019 and has since worked extensively on stage, screen and audio - most notably appearing in Netflix’s ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ and Audible’s ‘The Sandman’. Sam has a lifelong passion for history and has loved being part of an immersive historical experience, especially one which explores such an important story from the past.

    Taqi Nazeer

    Taqi is a multi-disciplinary artist and continues to work with many of the UK’s leading theatre companies as a performer and script developer. When he is not on stage or in front of a camera, Taqi is a playwright and is currently under commission for two new exciting plays geared towards South Asian audiences. He is also a podcast producer and created, produced and presented the hit podcast ‘Scotistan’ for the BBC Asian Network. His most recent television credits include ANNIKA (Alibi TV), SHETLAND (BBC) and The Control Room (BBC).

    Tyler Abbot

    Tyler is 5 and in Year 1. He is a happy boy and loves his brother and sisters. He has a great sense of humour always trying to make us laugh. He is super kind and is very popular with his friends. He loves football and has been offered places in 2 academies for U7. He also loves gaming and plays with his sister everyday.

    Oliver Nazerath

    Oliver Nazareth Aston graduated from Mountview in 2020. Recent theatre credits include: Romeo and Juliet (Storyhouse), Little Women (Storyhouse), Stig of the Dump (Storyhouse), Prince and the Pauper (Trinity Theatre) and Brief Encounter (Watermill Theatre). Oliver is thrilled to be joining the cast of The Gunpowder Plot and is very excited to bring this incredible story to life.

    Georgie Beerman

    Georgie trained at Rose Bruford College, studying European Theatre Arts, allowing her to additionally study abroad in Prague. For the past three years, Georgie acted in Layered Reality's other immersive Production of 'Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience'. Last November, Georgie was filming for a feature film 'The Abomination' which will be on Amazon Prime later this year. Other than acting, Georgie also enjoys writing her own short films. She is represented by You Management.

    Henry Brackenridge

    Since graduating Italia Conti, Henry has starred in various music videos, short films, and recently finished a run of critically-acclaimed 'Flashbang' at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre. He is excited to be making his Immersive debut with 'The Gunpowder Plot'.

    Haydn Burke

    Haydn Burke grew up in Solihull in the West Midlands. Always with a love for performing as well as a keen interest in sports and History. Which he was very happy to merge in this project particularly linking the history with the performing element.

    Sarah Cairney

    Sarah is a Scottish actress who trained at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Prior to training, Sarah worked all over the UK and internationally devising and performing work that broke the conventional fourth wall and challenged audiences. Since graduating, Sarah has continued working as an immersive actor across various London venues, and is delighted to be part of The Gunpowder Plot

    James Chetwood

    James graduated from ArtsEd in 2022. His theatre credits include Thirst (The Vaults, Omnibus Theatre), A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Turbine Theatre), Messy Eaters (York Theatre Royal) and As You Like It (Drayton Arms).

    Eleanor Clark

    Eleanor has played an array of strong female lead characters both professionally and semi-professionally at Rose Theatre, Kingston, and now works within the directing team at its youth theatre. Her next challenge will be directing A Midsummer Night's Dream in just one week. Eleanor is looking forward to jumping into the world of immersive theatre and the lives wrapped up in this incredible story.

    Lola Cranleigh

    Lola Graduated from the Bridge Theatre Training Company in July. She studied Improv for five years and is excited to combine her love of Improv, acting and History.

    Stanley Eldridge

    Stanley has most recently appeared in Netflix's Money Heist: The Experience, he continues to appear as Basil in Fawlty Towers The Dining Experience. Other recent credits include Tobias in Necessary Work at Matchstick Playhouse; Terry in In The Room at Hen & Chickens; Stephen in Hurt by Paradise currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Stanley is also co-artistic director of theatre company Lock the Doors.

    Alex Freeborn

    Alex trained at E15 acting school, graduating in BA honours in acting. Alex has appeared in Myra Syal’s ‘Anita & Me’ as Sam Lowbridge. This is Alex’s second appearance for Layered Reality since he is also currently appearing in ‘Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience’

    Analiese Emerson

    Analiese Emerson graduated from The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School MFA. Previous credits include, Henry VI (Bristol Old Vic), The Snow Queen (London Touring Players), Big Happy Days (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Macbeth (Seattle Repertory Theatre), Brooklyn Bridge (Seattle Children's Theatre), Grey Gardens (The 5th Avenue Theatre), A Christmas Carol (ACT).

    Hannah Henderson

    Hannah Henderson trained at PPA in Guildford, her credits include: ‘The Tash and Ellie Sketch show’ (BBC3) ‘Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience’ (Layered Reality) Oedipus (The Almeida Theatre) and commercials for big brands such as Samsung, Amazon Prime and Ford.

    Emily Hindle

    Emily is an actress, playwright and musician who trained at East 15 Acting School, and whose credits include HOARDING (The Lowry/Leicester Curve), FIVE:EIGHT (Bernie Grant Arts Centre), Hide and Seek (Leicester Curve) and Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience.

    Isabella Javor

    After graduating from the BRIT School in 2011, Isabella went on to train on the BA(Hons) Acting & Contemporary Theatre course at East 15 Acting School. Her recent credits as an actress include: Michael Winterbottom’s THIS ENGLAND (Fremantle/Sky Atlantic), Sindha Agha’s BAFTA Award winning HOW TO BE A PERSON (Cornershop/Channel 4), Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience (Layered Reality), OVO’s THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR (Roman Theatre St. Albans/Maltings Theatre), and ELLA ENCHANTED (The Pleasance)

    Josh Loki

    Josh went to study acting at ArtsEd and graduated in 2017. His other stage credits include; To Be Continued (Little Fish Theatre), Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience (Layered Reality), Dead End (Shipwreck) and Alfie (HMS).

    Charles Maddison

    Charles recently graduated from The Oxford School of Drama (Three Year Course). Since then he has appeared in various short films including ‘Me, Not You’ and ‘To Motherhood’.

    Joseph Martin

    Previous work: Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience, Sir Quentin Blake’s ‘The Green Ship’. In 2017 Joseph co-founded theatre company Awkward Productions with actor Linus Karp. He lives on socials @suddenlyjoseph.

    Angus Maxwell

    Angus grew up in Somerset and discovered his love for acting at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He went on to train at Rose Bruford College. He is extremely excited to make his professional debut in The Gunpowder Plot.

    Curtis Medley

    Curtis is an actor and singer/songwriter from The Lake District and found his love for theatre at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal as part of the Brewery Youth Theatre group. He performed for 3 years with British Youth Music Theatre UK before attending the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

    Oliver Menzies

    Oliver’s credits include: Ray Stantz at Dubai Parks and Resorts, ‘Unchain me’, Director of ‘The Haunting of Hill House 2021’ and ‘Aladdin pantomime’ as Aladdin in Cairo. Oliver’s television credits include Wayne in ‘Cuffs’ and film credits include ‘Old Boys’. Oliver looks forward to joining the current cast to continue telling the famous story of 1605.

    April Hope Miller

    April Hope Miller is a 23 year old London based Actor. Since graduating from ArtsEd in the summer of 2022 April has acted in the immersive shows 'Alcotraz' and 'AVORA'. Her screen work includes various short films and an Educational film for Holocaust Education UK.

    Deanna Myers

    Deanna Myers {she/they} recently relocated from Chicago with their partner and French bulldog in tow. They’re excited to join the cast of TGP for their first show in London. Select theatre credits include work with: Steppenwolf Theatre Company, The Goodman Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, About Face Theatre, Writers Theatre, Catharsis Productions, & Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.     Toby Pavitt

    Toby has just finished his final year at Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford, where he completed his degree in Acting For Stage & Screen. He is so excited to be putting his training to good use, and joining the incredible cast of Gunpowder Plot.

    Tyne Pearson

    Tyne is an actor, singer and dancer who graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2020. Before this she trained in Musical Theatre at Millennium Performing Arts. Tyne has appeared in various theatre productions, including Sleeping Beauty (Theatre Royal Stratford East).

    Charlotte Price

    Charlotte trained at ArtsEd (BA Acting) and has since worked as an Actor across stage, screen and mocap. Credits include: Common (National Theatre), Strindberg’s Women (Jermyn Street Theatre), The Actress (Long Lane Theatre Co.), Acceptable Damage (Amazon Prime), The Courtship (NBC/ Peacock) and Black Cab (Feature, 2023 release). Charlotte is also an advanced Fight Performer and Fight Director for True Edge Ltd, with Fight Directing credits including Cluedo (UK Tour) and Looking Good Dead (Richmond Theatre, UK Tour).     Anushka Samarasinghe

    Anushka recently relocated from Reading where she starred as Eleanor Vance in Progress Theatre's 'The Haunting of Hill House.' She has just finished filming short film 'Agents' scheduled for release in 2024. Anushka has previously worked with Dante or Die Theatre and has trained extensively with South Street Youth Theatre and The Unseen.

    Kaid Sherwood

    Kaid Sherwood has recently graduated from East 15 and this will be his first major show since completing his training. He is so excited to join the team and bring the world of The Gunpowder Plot to life for audiences.

    Fern-Louise Sutton

    Fern-Louise is a Nottinghamshire born actor. She trained at LAMDA and The Oxford School of Drama, graduating with a degree in Professional Acting in 2020. You can also see Fern perform in Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience (Layered Reality). Her TV credits include 'Maladie Alike' in Joss Whedon’s The Nevers (HBO) and the Masterbrand Ident Commercials (Channel 4).

    Anna Swinton

    Anna studied at Edinburgh University and then went on to train at LAMDA. She has performed with National Youth Theatre, and has written and performed with FourFig Theatre Company at the Golden Goose Theatre. She also works as Stage Crew at The Book of Mormon. She is incredibly excited to be joining the Gunpowder Plot Team!

    Daisy Tucker

    Daisy studied at Mountview. She has professionally performed in 'The Creature', at the Rose Theatre, Kingston and semi-professionally performed in 'Alice in Winterland' and 'The Snow Queen', also at the Rose Theatre. Additionally, she is experienced in immersive theatre, performing in 'Beast Quest' at Hampton Court Palace. Daisy is extremely excited to join 'The Gunpowder Plot' team.

    Thomas Bulpett

    Tom trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. His previous credits include; The Play That Goes Wrong (West End/Tour), Father Brown (BBC) and Casualty (BBC).

    Manav Chaudhuri

    Manav (24, he/him) is an actor and theatre maker from Assam, India. He has trained in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art - MA Theatre Lab (2021-22) and Christ University, Bangalore (BA Theatre, English, Psychology 2016-19) along with working professionally in theatre and film in India. Now based in London, he is looking to immerse himself in exciting and new work such as The Gunpowder Plot and much more.

    Gabriel Burns

    Gabriel is an actor and composer based in London. A graduate of Identity School of Acting, his credits include X&Y (Lyric Hammersmith), Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds, The Immersive Experience (Layered Reality) and Bridge Command (Parabolic Theatre). Gabriel has also written two musical adaptations of The Frogs and The Witches which have been performed at theatres in Reading and London.
